About Imperial Pyro
Imperial Pyro & Special Effects started in 2018 with one wedding, one truck, and a founder who grew up inside the theme park industry. Today the crew runs fireworks, stage effects, and permanent installations for venues in eight states and Washington DC, and it is still small on purpose: the people who plan your show are the people who rig it, test it, and fire it.

Meet the Founder
Founder, pyrotechnician, and still the guy standing on site when the show goes live.
Jack started in community and regional theater, then spent years operating show control, pyrotechnics, and entertainment systems inside the theme park and cruise line industry:
His first role inside theme parks.
Pyrotechnics, theatrical services, and entertainment maintenance.
Show control and entertainment technician, shipwide.
Entertainment technician for pyro and special effects.
Rising from Entertainment Technician to Area Lead Technician to Entertainment Supervisor.
In 2018 he walked away from the parks to build something of his own. The first show was a wedding at Ever After Estate in Clermont, Florida. Jack stays hands-on today, leading project planning, permitting, and on-site execution.
Meet the Crew
Ask anyone on the crew where they learned the trade and the answers vary. Some came up through theater stages, theme park show systems, and cruise ship productions, places where the cue happens once and it has to land. Not all of our crew came up through theater, themed entertainment, or production, and that mix is a strength: different paths, one standard. It shows up in how we work. There is no B-team and no rotating door of temp labor. The same hands that plan your show are the hands that show up on show day.
We keep the crew small on purpose. Everyone on it is trained, cross-trained, and trusted with the whole job: rigging, wiring, firing, and teardown. It is the difference between a vendor that drops off a crate and a crew that treats your event like its own.
On site, start to finish. Planning, permitting, setup, firing, and teardown handled by our own trained crew, never subcontracted out.
How We Work
The unglamorous part of the job is the part your venue and insurers care about. We do it in-house so you never chase it.
State and federal pyrotechnics licensure, general liability for your event and venue.
Fire marshal and AHJ coordination managed in-house, start to finish.
Equipment inspected and inventoried before it leaves the shop, tested again before showtime.
Proud member of the Themed Entertainment Association.
